Painted En Plein Air at beautiful Banksia Springs Farm Accomodation near Dwellingup WA.
Some adjustments were added to the scene in the studio.
My attraction to paint the garden scene was seeing the warm afternoon light on the large straggly aloe vera bush with its long stems and bright orange flowers and how the shadows cast dark long shapes behind the large conifers. The sunlight also shone on the white roof of a cute little cottage in the neighbouring property making it stand out against the orchard and green surroundings.
