This mini artwork was painted En Plein Air from the balcony of our Longreach Bay accommodation while holidaying on gorgeous Rottnest Island, WA.
The luscious oil paint textures in "Cloudy skies, Longreach Bay" were achieved using a palette knife on a 9 x 5-inch board.
Rottnest Island is so pretty even in wintery weather.
My husband and I loved relaxing on our balcony with such a beautiful view, sipping wine, watching the ocean and ships making their way past the island on their way to the Port of Fremantle, Western Australia. Just magic!!
